Kaye and partner Kai Widdrington found themselves in the bottom two alongside Bros star Matt Goss and partner Nadiya Bychkova.

But only one could remain – the losing Scottish presenter.

On returning to the hotel after the show, the 59-year-old TV star endured an awkward encounter with staff.

Kaye revealed that when she ordered room service, the staff member who brought her the food asked an awkward question.

She asked the Strictly star who was written out of the show.

And Kaye said she was the celebrity who pulled out of the competition.

Giving fans a glimpse of the conversation, Kaye tweeted, “I just ordered room service at my hotel. The nice lady who brought it asked me ‘any idea who came out of @bbcstrictly tonight .?

“I said ‘me’ awkward silence”.

Last year’s Strictly contestant Dan Walker replied, “Major League awkwardness. We enjoyed watching you Kaye. Hope you made some good friends and have some great memories.”

And comedian Jenny Eclair said: “I was playing, watched your Charleston catch up after the show last night and thought that was fabulous, legs madam, you have legs To die for, a ridiculously tough competition this year, you’re proud.”

Last night fans were furious after Kaye was kicked off the show.

Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke all opted to save singer Matt after celebrities danced to secure their place on the show.

But Chief Justice Shirley Ballas admitted she would have saved the Loose Women and Kai star.

But fans flocked to Twitter to complain about the Scotsman’s exit, saying she was ‘stolen’.
