November is already upon us, so let’s dive into the TOPHOTELPROJECTS construction database to see which markets are the most active at this end of the year.

In November 2021, 176 four- and five-star hotels will open around the world, our dedicated researchers have discovered. We take a look at which regions will see the most growth and highlight some eye-catching properties that are about to be completed.

Hottest growing regions in November 2021

North America tops the list region by region, with 61 hotels and 11,939 rooms nearly ready for action. 48 of these projects will open in the United States alone, comfortably making it the most active national growth market.

Europe is in second place, with 52 imminent openings that are expected to involve 8,260 keys. Germany and the UK lead here with 11 and eight launches respectively, although the latter wins in terms of additional rooms with 1,449 keys, compared to 1,214 in the region’s largest economy.

APAC will also see significant growth this month – 34 hotels and 6,811 rooms are expected to be completed in the coming days. Not surprisingly, China is the key domestic market here, with 11 additional hotels providing 2,551 rooms to its growing hotel scene.

In the Middle East, 18 projects are expected to be launched in November, including seven in the United Arab Emirates. Africa and Latin America end the list, with nine and two openings respectively.

Of the 176 new hotels, 117 will belong to the four-star category, while the remaining 59 will belong to the five-star segment.

The most anticipated hotel openings of the month

Without a doubt one of the most exciting openings of November, the new Steigenberger Doha will be talked about from the moment it launches. With 220 rooms, junior suites, suites and a presidential suite, it will also offer a large conference center with a 400 m² ballroom, as well as a fitness center and spa. In addition, there will be two international restaurants – one specializing in Lebanese cuisine and the other with a 200 m² terrace – and a shisha bar.

In Ireland, the Samuel Dublin will soon begin welcoming guests within walking distance of the Convention Center Dublin, the International Financial Services Center and the 3Arena. Although part of Dalata’s portfolio, its branding will be tailor-made and in line with the surrounding development of Spencer Place. This four-star, 200-key hotel will occupy the former London and North Western Hotel, which dates back to the 1800s.
