The Templepatrick venue was the only one in Northern Ireland to be recognized at the glittering ceremony at Grosvenor House in London, hosted by TV presenter Gabby Logan, which celebrates the UK’s best hotels, restaurants and bars in 26 categories.
Having opened in summer 2020, the 33-room boutique hotel and spa has been radically transformed to include a £2 million Relaxation Burrow spa area, offering unique attractions such as a Swedish sauna, a aromatherapy steam room, a halotherapy salt chamber, Roman-inspired bath and heated beach by the lake, with a Lake Bar.
The Relaxation Burrow, coupled with the hotel’s unique banquet hall and wedding venue – The Loft – has seen the bunny quickly gain a reputation as a relaxed and luxurious venue.
Ald Ross said: “I am delighted that the Rabbit Hotel and Retreat has been recognized for providing a top-notch hospitality experience in the borough, beating out fierce competition from other venues across Northern Ireland.
“I know how much hard work has gone into redeveloping this location and it has certainly paid off.
“With its beautiful and unique lakeside location, close proximity to Belfast and Belfast International Airport, the hotel is ideally placed to provide an exceptional guest experience. Congratulations to the entire Rabbit Hotel team for their success.
Lynsey Gordon, General Manager of The Rabbit Hotel and Retreat, added: “This is a fantastic endorsement of all the hard work that has gone into the extensive redevelopment of The Rabbit Hotel and Retreat.
“This award reinforces our unwavering commitment to providing an exceptional experience and recognizes the talents, dedication and efforts of our team. We are extremely grateful to all of our guests for their support and look forward to creating many more memorable moments at Rabbit Hotel and Retreat.
